The cheese course

Ask the Cheesemonger

Question:
I would like to do a cheese course. What accompaniments do you recommend? Honey, Almonds, etc? Thanks!

Answer:
Rena: We would first need to ask you a few question about these cheese you are serving before making an suggestions on accompaniments. As you know, there are many different cheeses to choose from, all having specific flavors and textures. Accompaniments are meant to compliment and enhance the flavor and experience of the cheese. Ask our Cheese Steward for some help next time you are in the store. For example, the Cheese Steward may point you towards a classic pairing of Spanish Manchego cheese with Marcona Almonds and honey comb or Membrillo Quince Paste. Or perhaps our wonderfully decadent La Tur cheese with a drizzle of honey. We also have several cheese courses on our menu where we pre-select specific accompaniments for you based on the cheese profile you are ordering.
